The Jagannath Puri Dham Yatra is a significant pilgrimage that attracts devotees from all over the world to the sacred city of Puri in Odisha, India. This annual event is centered around the grand procession of Lord Jagannath, an incarnation of Lord Krishna, along with his siblings, Balabhadra and Subhadra, who are housed in the magnificent Jagannath Temple. The yatra, or journey, is marked by the iconic chariot festival, where the deities are placed on massive, elaborately decorated chariots and pulled through the streets by thousands of enthusiastic devotees. This vibrant celebration not only showcases the rich cultural heritage and spiritual fervor of the region but also serves as a unifying force, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds in a shared expression of faith and devotion. The event is steeped in tradition, with rituals and customs that have been preserved for centuries, making it a profound experience for all who participate.

Schedule Details

Day 1 - Arrival Bhubaneswar –Puri (80 Km)

Pickup from Bhubaneswar airport Proceed to the Puri. En-route visit Dhauli (the peace pagoda),108 Shivling temple, Lingaraj Temple, Chausath (64) Yogini temple. After reaching Puri check into the hotel in the evening and enjoy at Puri beach. Overnight at Puri.

Day 2 : Puri – (Jagannath Temple) - Chilika Lake ( Satpada ) – Puri

After morning breakfast, Darshan at Sri Jagannath Temple (Non Hindus are not allowed), Gundicha Temple, Mausima Temple, Bedi Hanuman Temple,Depart for Satapada, Chilka.En- route visit Alarnath Temple after reaching Chilika lake Take a boat ( By own cost) meets the Irrawaddy Dolphins in nature and the Hradaya –Sagar Sangam or the sea mouth (the point where the lake meets the sea). Enjoy the day at Chilka Lake (India's biggest inland lake spread over 1,100 square kilometers). Evening return to Puri, in the evening enjoy and relax at golden beach, free time shopping at Puri local market. Overnight at Puri.

Day 3: Puri - Konark (Sun Temple) – Puri Drop

After breakfast from the hotel then drive to Konarkon marine drive, visit Chandrabhaga beach&Ramchandi temple. Then visit the famous Sun Temple called black Pagoda, The 12th century temple richly decorated with stone carving. In the evening enjoy light & sound show in Konark (by own cost). Then transfer to Puri railway station to catch the train for Kolkata.

Day 4: Arrival Kolkata & Local Sightseeing

Pickup from Kolkata Howrah Railway station. Check in at the hotel. After relaxing, visit half day local sightseeing in Kolkata -Belur Math, Dakshineswar Kali Temple, and Indian Museum. Kalighat Temple, Howrah Bridge, Overnight at Kolkata.

Day 5: Kolkata – Gangasagar – Kolkata

Early morning proceed to Gangasagar, Sagar Island is an island in the Ganges delta, lying on the continental shelf of Bay of Bengal about 100 km south of Kolkata. & quot; Gangasagar & quot; is a place of Hindu pilgrimage. Every year on the day of Makar Sankranti (14 January), hundreds of thousands of Hindus gather to take a holy dip at the confluence of river Ganges and Bay of Bengal and offer prayers (puja) in the Kapil Muni Temple. Back to Kolkata hotel & amp; Overnight stay at Kolkata hotel.

Day 6: Kolkata – Deoghar

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Deoghar, after reach at Deoghar check in hotel. Overnight at Deoghar.

Day 7: Deoghar – Kolkata Drop

After breakfast check out and drive to visit the temple tour Baba Baidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple, Tapovan, then drive to back Kolkata. After reach at Kolkatatransfer to airport/railway station to catch the flight/ train for onward Journey with bag full of memories.
